Brianna Raquel Blood

Our baby Brianna was Born August 2th 2011 at 12:07pm. It was a really good experience. I never image how much I can love her. She is so cute and we are so blessed having Brianna in our lives.

That is a song in Spanish that I always heard  during my pregnancy thinking about my princess.

Yo te esperaba
y veia mi cuerpo crecer
mientras buscaba
el nombre que te dí
en el espejo
fue la luna llena y de perfil
contigo dentro , jamás fui tan feliz.

Moria por sentir
tus piernecitas frágiles
pateando la obscuridad
de mi vientre maduro.

Soñar no cuesta no
y con los ojos húmedos
te veia tan alto es más
en la cima del mundo.

Yo te esperaba
imaginando a ciegas el color
de tu mirada y el timbre de tu voz.
muerta de miedo
le rogaba al cielo que te deje
llegar lejos , mucho más que yo.

Yo te esperaba
y pintaba sobre las paredes
de tu cuarto , cuentos en color
restaba sin parar , días al calendario
solo tú me podrías curar
el modo de escenario.

El mundo es como es
y no puedo cambiartelo

Baby Shower 2

We are happy to live here. What a blessing! Yesterday we had a baby shower party in Stephen's work. It was a surprise for us, but it won't work for me if I wasn't there, normally I'm not there so Stephen's boss called him to tell about the party and we want me there. So we went and we had  all co-workers and boss, Also we had pizza and a nice cake and of course gifts. That made our hearts glad. They are really friendly people.

Baseball

Last Friday Stephen and I went to a baseball game. That was because there was a party for Stephen's company, so we were in  the party deck watching the game and eating all we want, well the food wasn't healthy. I have no idea what is baseball about, Stephen tried to explain it to me but still I don't understand. The weather was very nice that day,not too hot but the game was too long, we left in the middle of the game. It was a funny day and we had a good time there.

Baby Shower

I have just 3 more weeks to meet my baby girl or maybe she wants to come early that will be great. So my friends did a baby shower for me last Saturday July 9th. We had too much fun. I'm very grateful to have friends that really make me feel special. They are so patience with me and my English. Our baby received a lot of presents from them. So now we only have to wait until she wants to come. I'm very nervous about it and excited too.

Our History

Stephen and I met in Spain when he was serving his mission in my ward. In his first day in my ward Stephen was trying to learn the names of all people and when he asked me, I said my name was Raquel. I don't know why I said it maybe because I wanted to confuse him. The rest of the people were laughing about that and he realized that my name wasn't Raquel and I told him my real name.
So after a few months he moved in another city and finished his mission and when he returned home, we contacted one another and started to talk and talk. One day he told me about what he felt for me and he came to Spain. We had a really good time together. The first time that I saw him in the airport was weird but after that we hit it off. He went to Spain 3 times more while we were waiting for my visa to come and after a long time finally I got my visa and came here, one month later we got married at the Washington DC Temple. That was the first time I met the hold crazy and cute Blood family, although, I met some of them before when they came to visit in the summer.
We are married almost 1 year and it has been great, and soon we'll be parents....yupi!

About Us

Well, we just created our blog, for the most part I think this will be written by me, though, English and I aren't good friends so I'm sorry if I write some things wrong.

CLAUDIA: I was born in Huanuco - Peru, many years ago ... My city is one of the little cities in Peru but is really nice especially the weather. I have a very nice brother two years older than me and we always spent our time together when We were kids and the most part of our adolescence. My parents are divorced, but my mom went to live and work in Madrid about 9 years ago. I started Nursing School but didn't get a chance to finish it. My mom got sick and so my brother and I went to Spain to help her out, and I had to leave in the middle of Nursing school, and so that is the reason why I was in Spain before I came here. My dad still lives in Peru.
I'm really happy for my time in Spain. That time really changed my life, The most part of you know the reasons and now I'm marry to a wonderful man Stephencito and living a new step in my life. Other country, other language, other culture ... I think the most difficult part for me is the language. I thought I couldn't ever understand but I'm learning still. I'm so grateful for my new life. Soon we'll be 3 in our family and that's really a great blessing.
